Troubleshooting Video Playback Issues
If course videos are not loading or are buffering excessively, follow these steps.
Step 1: Check your internet connection. FCSOA videos require a minimum connection speed of 2 Mbps. Test your speed at speedtest.net.
Step 2: Refresh the lesson page using Ctrl+F5 (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
Step 3: Try a different, up-to-date web browser. FCSOA supports the latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Step 4: Disable browser extensions that block media or scripts (such as ad blockers or privacy extensions). These sometimes interfere with video players.
Step 5: Clear your browser cache. In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data.
Step 6: If you are on a government network, check with your ICT department to ensure that streaming video is not blocked by the network firewall.
If none of the above resolves the issue, contact FCSOA Support with your browser version, operating system, and the exact lesson URL. Screenshots are helpful.
